Our Story

Behind KULO is designer and ceramic artist Enna-Matilda Kukkola, whose work grows from a decade of experience in sustainable design and craft teaching. Guided by a deep respect for natural materials, Enna combines deep material knowledge with a passion for natural processes. She works with hand-building, moulding, and traditional wood-firing techniques to create tactile, soulful pieces that celebrate the beauty of clay.

KULO was founded together with her partner Jasper de Jonge, an innovation specialist, who supports the studio with technical & photographic services, and business development.

Together, they nurture a living space where design, craftsmanship, and care for the earth meet.

Each creation moves through quiet transformation — earth becoming form, flame becoming colour.

Every piece carries traces of touch, fire, and time.
